The College of Engineering and Polymer Science (CEPS) at ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ recently concluded its annual Summer Experience in Engineering Camp, a five-day program designed to inform and inspire high school students about the many disciplines of engineering. The camp began on June 2 and wrapped up on June 6 with a closing ceremony where students shared their group reflections and received certificates in front of family and friends.

As one of several K-12 outreach efforts hosted by CEPS, the camp aims to foster early interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Throughout the week, students engaged in hands-on activities, interactive sessions and presentations led by university faculty, staff and industry professionals.

Dr. Neete Saha, director of student experience and engagement and organizer of the camp, praised the students and expressed appreciation for the support behind the program.

“Students did a fantastic job with their presentations. It was inspiring to see how much learning took place in just a few days,” Saha said. “A special thank-you goes to Dr. Craig Menzemer, dean of CEPS, for delivering meaningful remarks and presenting certificates at the closing ceremony. All of us at the college are deeply grateful to the students, their families, our faculty and staff, industry partners, student workers and donors. Together, we made this year’s camp another rewarding and memorable experience.”
